Artist's Description
Simple entitled “Chief”. He is meant to represent many of the Native American Indians of this land. Indian chiefs have earned the respect of their people. To become an Indian chief, you had to prove that you were strong, brave, and a great leader. Traditionally some nations have their leaders chosen by the women. They watch the children as they grow up and can see which ones are leaders, then they are taught many things so that one day, if they have proven themselves to be servants of the people, they will be chosen by the women to represent the people.
If at any time they change and prove themselves to not be faithful servants of the people, the women remove them as well and another is chosen in his place.
