Amphitrite was one of the sea nymphs Nereids, fifty sisters in total and daughters of Nereus and Doris. She was the wife of Poseidon and had two children with him; a son named Triton, a merman; and Rhode. Amphitrite also gave birth to other children, such as seals and dolphins.
Award winning Artist, Geraldine Arata is a native San Franciscan with a Bachelors of Fine Art Degree from San Francisco State University, and a Master of Fine Art degree from the Academy of Art University San Francisco. She and her husband, John Pruett, owned and operated Arata Fine Art Gallery, 450 Columbus Ave., San Francisco, .
